Raleigh ASQ Section is gathering to offer their time at the Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina. We invite you to join us and give back to those who may not be as fortunate.

RU's adhoc: 0.2  

Location: Raleigh Food Bank

Time: 9:00 - 12:00 

Activities: Warehouse volunteers help to sort and repackage 40% of the Food Bank's warehouse inventory. We may help with: sorting fresh produce into smaller boxes; repackaging products from food manufacturers and distributors; and, putting bulk items into family size portions.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty.

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC

Established in 1980, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a non-profit organization that provides food to people at risk of hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina. In 2008-09, the Food Bank distributed over 36.8 million pounds of food through 800 partner agencies including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and after school programs for children.
